CHAPTER – XXII
Relations & Karma
Relations & Karma

We all have heard about karma for getting punishments for doing evil deeds; you have probably got it wrong. The word ‘Karma’ is derived from Sanskrit, which means “deed”. Karma is an accumulation of thought, intention from former lifetimes. It is more like luggage we carry on a trip from life to life. Negative karma sets up a negative cycle and is never-ending. With negative karma, positive karma provides us protection from harmfulness and allows us to evolve towards personal joy.
Similarly, when it comes to relations, it contributes to the new meaning of life. When relations were not understood, humans were not humans; they were biological beings. It is the relations that make us social beings. Relations can be defined as connections between different species to find relevance in things, conversations and people. With relationships, the concept of giving and take comes up. Every relation works on give and take. The chapter would help us to maintain relations with other beings of society.
